BOOK WITH PEPPERMINT FOOTCARE
WHAT I DO

As a Foot Health Practitioner, I qualified with the SMAE Institute in Maidenhead, Berkshire in 2007. I am a Member of the Association of Foot Health Practitioners (MAFHP) and a Member of the College of Foot Health Practitioners (MCFHP)
My late father, was a Chiropodist and we worked together in Tonbridge, Kent after I qualified and then subsequently moved to Penzance, where I again had a clinic at my home. I have recently moved to the Carclaze area of St Austell and visit my clients in West Cornwall, a few days a week.
I have availability in the surrounding areas of St Austell for home visits.
With the population living longer and requiring more healthcare and support, there is a great need for footcare in the community. This means that we can help the general public to relieve the strain on the National Health Service, by keeping feet comfortable when they are difficult to manage for yourself.

TREATMENTS

DURING THE TREATMENT

I follow a routine treatment which covers the whole of both feet. I start with a visual check, especially between the toes and the back of the heels. I trim and file the nails and then work to treat in-grown nails, corns, callus, fungal infections, verrucae, splits and can also check for signs of circulation problems, such as with blood flow and swelling. I then finish off with cream and massage. If you would like a regular treatment, then most people see me every 6-8 weeks, however, I am available for occasional treatments, emergencies or to work alongside your support team with supplementary appointments as and when required. I can also advise and treat people with diabetes. If desired and appropriate then I will also apply nail polish.
I can also trim and file fingernails in addition to your appointment if you would like me to.
